As I’m sure you are all already aware, every region of Japan is famous for a different local cuisine. Fukuoka’s notorious dish is Hakata ramen. If you see the picture before this one, canal city has an excellent ramen centre, but nothing quite beats the yatai (屋台). It is basically a stall that is set up about 5pm and serves all kinds of food and beverage until the early hours of the morning. 
Here we can see the punters sitting inside, sheltered from the cold whilst others wander past oblivious from the jollity being had inside. If you are going to Fukuoka, I can highly recommend  joining those inside and see if you can find the one whose owner looks like a Japanese Colin Farrell.
